A Landform and Its Reforming History

How Landforms Have Changed for People and Their Shelter

Landforms make up most most Earth and its land. As humans, there are reasons to change landforms. This could be for reasons such as shelter, protection, and to please the human eye. There are also people that change the land we live on such as construction workers and army engineers.During our written history, landforms have changed for the advantage of people, especially for shelter, or in the recent past, permanent places such as houses and condos.

History has shown landforms have changed since the start for shelter. Thousands of years ago, shelter started without changing much the land. People constructed from their land form to build their place of dwelling; it could have been made out of sticks or the dwelling could have been from a simple cave. The people of the past did not change the landform they lived on because they did not have the tools or the need to. Recent times have a large population than we had 100's of years ago.

The cultures and their people, in recent history, have built their houses into the Earth we live on like hill and mountains. Let us take a glimps at some Native American tribes. A few tribes built their homes in the side of mountains. They did this for many reasons, the main reason because it was an easy place to live. This was simple for the people of this time because the cliffs were there. The Middle East people of world, this also holds true. These people live in mountains too. The people of this time homes were made of mountains with holes on the side but still mirror the homes we see today. As our times as a human population went forward, the tools we used also went forward to build in many areas such as mountains.

During the times of the middle ages, one of the neatest examples of how people changed landforms for a place to live is given. Stone and the land was used to make their homes in the time of Jesus and the people before him. This stone was used in many places. This includes the construction of systems of irrigations and systems of sewers. Water was brought in for city drinking water as well as baths. Today, we still use this amazing system that was carved in our landforms, although, differently. Changing landforms have helped people live closer together in large communities like countries in the Middle East (current day Iraq, Iran, Israel).

Not very long ago, people lived in homes made out of the landforms of the plains. To answer what a plain is, it is an area of land without a lot of tree and is flat. People were very smart when they built their homes even though it was not of much because it was built from the land of the Earth. The houses were made from the supplies of the world and beautiful roofs were made out of grass. It is creative to see houses made out of dirt and mud. Because of this, the resources of the land were still there and it did not change much of the original landform.

In human history, especially recently, landforms such as forests and swamps have changed to give people places to live and business a place to dwell. Business have taken over once was farm areas and massive forests to establish a community of work. Houses were built near swampy land so people could thrive and live near enough to drive to work. Homes and building from this, were used to build. People lived and worked these demolished landforms.

Given the change in population, land forms have changed drastically to benefit where we live. In the world we live in today, people live in homes that are 1000's of square feet. We have farms that feed us food where it was once a prairie. Landforms have changed many times over for humans to have a place to live. This has changed a lot from the shelters of the past history.

Our landforms are changing because the increase in poplution. Now the destruction of landforms such as swamps, lakes and deserts, are now dwellings and businesses for the human race and their pets. In the recent past, we have changed landforms at an alarming rate for our convenience. Today is much different from a thousand years ago, when landforms were not much used. People of the world did this for an easy place to dwell and for their life but it has an effect on the land forms. We need to think about the homes we live in today if we want to keep our beautiful landforms.
