A Layman's Theories on Aliens

Rudy C. Granados
This, of course, leads you to believe that I am from the collection of folks who believe in UFOs, alien abductions and space monsters. You might even think I believe in mysticism or magic. While there are some intriguing aspects about these thoughts, there is still no consistent or undeniable proof offered in either case. These and many other similar areas fall under the umbrella category of the supernatural. Some of it admittedly has some credence. There has been serious scientific research done in most areas, albeit backed up with often vague and mysterious or heavily censored evidence. Unfortunately, the extreme believers damage any credibility of the ancient astronaut theory, if they even believe at all. You know the type. They paint their bodies and don masks as if they were at a sporting event. You know the ones. They actually buy the alien urine. How can the public take the ancient astronaut theory seriously if all they associate it with are the costume parties held in Roswell, New Mexico? If you were brave enough to tell someone that an advanced civilization created humans sometime in the past, you might as well put on an alien mask, pick up a sign and yell, "Tell the truth! The government lies!" because that will be impression they have of you. This only serves to turn an intelligent debate on the subject into an uphill struggle. Some say that our government secretly promotes this type of behavior to generally discredit the belief. I say that a conspiracy matters not, because the field itself has degenerated into a sideshow on its own.

This type of behavior is only detrimental to serious research, and it further reinforces public perception that people who believe in the possibility of these phenomena are loonies. This is not about getting together in our costumes for a social event. We are so hung up about what happened for a few days in New Mexico, and whether our evil government is covering it all up, that at times we forget about the overall implications of the event. Whether aliens are green men with big eyes is irrelevant. If all you want is to have a good time with your pals, go for it. Have a great time. Just do us a favor and please put away the costumes, forget about the cover-ups, leave the government alone, and let the serious researchers do their work. They will let you know if they find anything, trust me. If you really do believe there are other civilizations in outer space, maybe it would be wiser to prepare yourself instead. Think about it. Whether an advanced race had been here before, or will eventually find us, they will likely get to us before we can get to them. This is probably an unavoidable certainty. Will they come in peace, or have a reason to be hostile? If they are hostile, will it be because of who we are, or what we have or have not done? Almost all modern religions believe that when 'God' returns a day of judgment for humans will occur. Consider that similar ancient events may have influenced all religions. So, what was the fundamental concept of their instructions? In other words, what was most important to them? If ancient astronauts did create humans, they offered a civilization that modeled upon their beliefs and values. Wherever you look in ancient texts and manuscripts, you will find specific guidelines as to how they wanted us to behave, and treat each other.

It would appear that this is what we are to achieve by the time of their arrival, not whether we invented the perfect iPod. If we can accept that the archeological evidence found somehow connects to ancient astronauts, then maybe we should consider what they wished for us. More importantly, has the human race even come close? When the ancient astronauts return will they be compassionate to individuals who followed instructions, like a gardener plucking the weeds away from her tomato plant? They might possibly decide by majority and chuck the whole thing as a lost cause, with no thought to the few. This puts the scenario in a different light. Will our fate be determined as individuals, or as a race? Religion says that each of us will face judgment alone, but consider if ancient astronauts use the values and morals they left as guidelines. Can we honestly say that we fulfilled what they wanted? I do not think that confessing once a week will help in the matter either. This will be about who we are at all times. If a judgment day is indeed on the horizon, I would think that instead of alien masks and cocktails, we should concentrate on fixing ourselves, and fast. When will they come back? Who knows, I may even be dead by then, but like my mother always use to say, "Don't leave the house without taking a bath. You don't want to be found dead, and them seeing your dirty underwear!" I think that the most important activity to do with our time is making sure we do not get caught with dirty underwear when, whoever they are, return.

Having said all of this, I do not completely dismiss what people have witnessed. Newer UFO images and video evidence are of poor quality, grainy and usually comes from suspicious sources. With today's capabilities in imagery, this material is rarely reliable or trustworthy. On the other hand, there are hundreds of eyewitness testimonies of non-confirmable objects by some very reliable people. Usually the sighting are only for a few fleeting moments or so, but there is no denying the credibility and professional backgrounds some of these witnesses have. It just seems that the majority of sightings only serve to waste precious time and resources. Recently there have been mass sightings of flying objects. It is not a new phenomenon, and has occurred many times in the past. The most striking thing about any mass sighting is that they usually occur during major human activities, be it a nuclear testing or a world's fair. It would appear that someone is interested in our progress. Finally, we come to the green or gray men with little bodies and big heads. Some people believe that there are actual civilizations of these creatures out in space. Now I do not know about cloaks and light sabers, but aliens from outer space probably look physically similar to us. Ancient manuscripts do not mention little green men. They wrote about people who looked like us in appearance, sometimes even confusing them with humans. Does it mean that people who saw the crash landing and little gray men near Roswell or elsewhere were making it up? Some might think so, but let us not rush to judgment. As was said, it would appear that ancient astronauts have a keen interest in how things evolve upon this planet. Could it be that these little green or gray men are actually scouts? Scouts, in the sense they observe and transmit updates to an advanced people?

What if these bug eyed little creatures are not living, thinking beings at all? Let us suppose that an advanced civilization wanted to keep track on the progress of beings they created on another planet. Our concept of time has no meaning to them, but the thought of being cooped-up in a small vehicle far away from home is not very appealing to most. They may have asked themselves, "and do what, watch the mundane and often violent progress of human beings?" If this race of people can create humans, surely they can create some type of life form that will be capable of simple movement, observation and communication. These would be the only functions needed besides operating and maintaining the craft, so these creatures would not need much intellect or dexterity. Like programming an organic computer, the green little men would serve the function of observing humans quite nicely. In fact, the creatures' ugliness can serve other purposes as well. Their appearance would cause fright and uncertainty in humans if seen while doing maintenance or other duties. This could buy them time to make an escape. Another benefit is that should anything happen like an accidental crash landing, their people would not be captured or at risk. Finally the artificial scouts would only be assigned the most basic of vehicles, so no critical technology would be lost if such were the case.

Those who have seen gray little men in their dreams are of the most suspicious, but dismissing every eyewitness who has claimed to see a little green man is not fair. This scenario seems to be a more plausible explanation for the creatures. Taking into account that ancient texts make no mention of them, the idea fits in better than a civilization of the little big heads.

  • Nice Theory Dude! 3/20/2009

But some affirm that there are many different races of aliens( up to 11! :O):
    - Greys- our body structure, bigger eyes, bigger brains.very thin usually
    - Little green man(sometimes grey too) are small, fast and they move like a kangaroo, weird feet.(huge brains but still small)
    - huge 7-8 feet tall aliens, a bit like the aliens from Alien vs Predator movie... they are the muscle aliens, like pets, no brain ^^
    - Draconis, is crocodile alike, like a human-reptile, some believe it's a mixture of a grey and a crocodile(or other reptile) and they were taken to their planet.

and many other races(I don't know them all ;) ).

I think the Aliens created us like a mutation of amonkey with alien aspects, that's why we are look alike :P

The bible was their explanation of life for us, nothing else, but it actually was one of their biggest mistakes bringing up religion, which cause wars and racism >.<

have you heard about the Grey Crop Circle with a Binary code in it? 2004 14-15
