A Layover at Tokyo / Narita Airport: Enjoy Yourself in Japan
Highlights of the Tokyo / Narita Airport
As soon as you de-plane for your layover at Tokyo / Narita Airport stop at a convenience kiosk and experience a cold and refreshing Japanese beverage. I recommend the unsweetened green tea, sweet plum juice or an Asahi beer. You may also want to buy some candies for cheap souvenirs and snacks for later. Then navigate your way to the Food Court by reading conveniently located signs and maps, all the while keeping an eye out for the showers. You will find the employees at Tokyo / Narita Airport enthusiastic and ready to help you, with a dedication to serve you will rarely find anywhere else in the world. Expect to spend at least $8 USD for your meal. I personally recommend the sushi or udon noodle soup.
If you have been on a long international flight, take a moment to yourself and get refreshed with a clean and private hot shower. If you are like me and you partied all night before coming to the airport and never took a shower this layover at Tokyo / Narita Airport is your window of opportunity. Bring a set of clean clothes (at the very least socks and underwear in your carry-on). These small but ample and serene showers are available for your layover, 20 minutes for $5. Included in this price are shampoo, soap, blow dryer and a towel. Before or after your shower you can take a nap and stretch your legs before your next flight for $10USD an hour, in your own private capsule.
After your shower and nap I would recommend walking to the $1 a minute massage chairs and tables. Spend your layover at the Tokyo/ Narita Airport getting a relaxing massage. Let Japanese women melt away the knots in your body after flying across the ocean in economy. The relaxing massage must be followed by at least 10 minutes inhaling aromas at the Oxygen Bar. The extra Oxygen always helps to eliminate my jet lag and I am surprisingly refreshed when I arrive at my destination. Enjoy your layover at Tokyo / Narita Airport in Japan!
