A Lesson in Departure

A.M. Morgan
Slowly you open up but someone closes the door on you

It's too late for them so they don't want to wait to see the true essence of you

Love is patient but to them being with you is a chore

Your fragile heart is now broken but don't worry within you'll find a comforting place

By continuing to open up love enjoys knowing you've given it a welcoming space to settle in

This departure is only a lesson and an opportunity for a new beginning

For mutual love casts out all fear and its desire is to be wholeheartedly embraced by you

Love is a double edged sword. It cut through hate, but it can also pierce your heart.
