A Lesson in Dung

Arkay Evans
A she-bird was flying south for the winter.
But it had already grown so cold,
that the tiny she-bird froze,
and fell to the ground into a large corn field.

While lying there, a big heifer came by
and dropped some steaming dung on her.

And as the she-bird lay to die,
frozen in a fresh pile of cow crap,
she began to awaken to how warm she was.

The poo was thawing her out!

And there, warm and happy,
she soon began to sing and shout.
A passing cat heard her jubulant song,
and came to see what was the fuss was about.

The cat followed all the singing she heard
and discovered that crazy she-bird
burried beneath a hot pile of cow crap,
dug her out and ate her whole,
just like that.

And the morals of this story are:

Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.

And when you've lost your wits, when you're in deep shit,
it's best to keep your mouth shut.

The End.

:-) Humorous and true. It's hard to accept that everyone is not your friend.
