A Letter to You
a letter to you
my fingers dance across the keys
light with emotion
so many questions to ask
yet only one appears on the screen
are you going to be there?
thoughts rush through endings
that are flush
with the thought of your response
yes, I am planning on being there
in the early morning hours
I try to pen down a word or two
in a simple little letter
perhaps I will have the pleasure
of seeing you this weekend...
the words strain against my heart
as I notice the sarcasm dripping of my fingers
