A Letter to Santa

Hi Santa. It's me Avery in Apartment 3 B. I have been very good this year, as you probably already know from your naughty and nice list. I'm sitting here thinking of my list of toys to ask you for, and it popped into my head that I have never knew before, what it is Santa Clause gets for Christmas after all his hard work of getting toys to all the girls and boys around the whole world.

What would Santa Clause want for Christmas? A new sleigh, food for the reindeer, a new workshop for the elves, or a gift for Mrs. Clause?

Santa, you have given me so many toys I have wanted over the years, this year all I am asking for is what you would want for Christmas.

If you could please send Rudolf and a little elf a little early this year, with your sleigh to pull on top the roof to pick up the present you will ask me for? I will set it in the fire place for them to take to you, so you can have it for Christmas morning like so many of us usually do.

But Santa, I will need to know early what it is you want to have, so I can prepare the present, wrap it so elegant and grand, like most of the elves do at your workshop.

My address you already know from the previous years, please send me a letter from you and all the elves and reindeer.

With this letter, I will send a batch of cookies and carrots for you and the reindeer, for there will be no need for you to stop at my place this year.

This Christmas is for you, and that's all I want, to know what the Great St. Nick would want for all his caring and joyous efforts to please all in the world.

Dear Avery,

My dear girl, without even knowing, that while you were writing, you have given me my Christmas Present already. For you have spoken in true voice of the Christmas spirit, to give is the much better gift than is to receive. But if you insist my dear child upon a present for me, it shall be this: Spread the word of your giving to all who needs to know. That Christmas isn't about getting gifts but giving to those who you think need it the most. If you can do that my dear, that is the best Christmas gift of all.
