A List of Playstation 3 Error Codes

The Sony Playstation 3 is quiet the machine. Released in 2006, this incredible piece of hardware came decked out with a vast number of impressive gadgets, bells and whistles. Some of its capabilities include: a hard drive, the ability to play games, dvds, cds, and Blu-Ray disks, internet support, and instantly available game and movie downloads. Overall, the PS3 has an impressive array of technological components and for the price that you can get one at it's a great value. Of course, all those pieces have its consequences. Like any gaming platform, the Plastation 3 has it share of problems and malfunctions. In this article, I'll address the more common error codes and explain what they mean.

8002A4A6 - Game can't be loaded for online play.

80710016 - The PS Network is down possibly for maintence.

8001050B - Will not play demo of games on hard drive when blue-ray disc is present in the drive (Unknown Cause).

80010510 - Will not play games from hard drive (Unknown Cause).

8002b241 - DVI has no audio.

80028EA5 - Unknown Error.

80029023 - Key Information exchange has timed out.

80029024 - No IP address found; the attempt to obtain an IP address timed out.

80029516 - Sign in to PS network needed for process.

80029564 - Downloaded game will not install to hard drive (Unknown Cause).

8002F997 - XMB firmware can not be updated.

8003051E - Game won't save to hard drive.

80031150 - System settings failed to save. A blue screen may appear with the message: "Setting information is corrupted. Press the x button to repair and restore default."

80031601 - Error Creating Account on PS3.

80130203 - PS3 has an internet connection but no connection to the network. Required ports aren't opened for the PS3 to connect to PSN store but it still has internet connection.

80710092 - "An error has occurred. You've been signed out from the PS network." Likely a connection drop from the PS3 to the PS Network.

8002A548 - No able to stay logged in to either the game or the server.

80710102 - PS3 connection to the router cannot occur with the provided IP information. The router may need to be restarted.

80710541 - A time out has occurred when trying to connect to the server.

80710B23 - PSN is either temporally down or too busy to provide a response.

0710102 - Occurs with DNS Error; the DNS server isn't available for connection.

Hopefully, if you are having trouble with your PS3 these error codes can help you figure out what is wrong. If you remain under warranty then I would highly recommend contacting Sony's Playstation customer support as your console may have to sent in.
