Alyssum
SECTION TEXT 1
Sometimes called sweet alyssum, this annual plant thrives in containers and as a ground-cover, and in warm climates such as the Southwest United states, the plant grows as a perennial. From seed to flower the length of time spans 15 to 20 days. The wide-growing plant does well in hanging baskets, window boxes and as a ground cover that borders lawns and other landscape areas. Sweet alyssum requires very little maintenance and blooms all-year-round in climates that don't reach freezing temperatures.
Morning Glory
SECTION TEXT 2
The Morning Glory plant covers a wide range of different cultivars but all of them are fast growing flowering vines. Germination time takes from four to seven days and less than 40 days from emergence until the plant begins to flower. Flowers vary in color among the waxy, deep-green foliate from white to shades of pink, purple and blue. Morning glory demands full sunlight as an outdoor trellis, or fence climbing plant. It can be sown directly into the ground or in a container near an upright structure.
Red Corn Poppy
SECTION TEXT 3
From seed to flower the red corn poppy takes anywhere from 30 to 40 days. It's germination time is the lengthiest phase of its growth due to the hardiness of the seed. Sometimes referred to as the Flanders poppy, the red corn poppy thrives as a hardy annual in temperate climates. It grows along roadsides, in wildflower-inspired garden themes and in containers that receive full, direct sunlight.
Showy Primrose
SECTION TEXT 4
The showy primrose is native to the Southeastern United States and thrives as a hardy perennial flowering plant. From seed to flower the process takes anywhere from 30 to 45 days, and the germination from seed to emergence consumes half of this span of time. This fast-growing flower goes dormant during the winter to return during the spring and summer months. It thrives in warm, moist soil and grows in container or well-treated garden beds.
