A Little Humor Goes a Very Long Way

My husband came home in a very bad mood. He was very hungry tired and just plain grumpy. This is not the usual man that I get each day when he retunes from work, so I was worried about him. He ate the dinner that was left out for him and that seemed to help somewhat. As he made his way up to our room he begins barking orders at the kids and the dog. Everyone looks at him in surprise, not really sure what is wrong.

I sit down at my computer as he walks in and tells me to "draw him a bath". Now me being the smarty pants I am decide to give him exactly what he wants. I take the nearest piece of paper and draw a tub on it. In my drawing I even included the claw feet just for effect and the old fashion facet. Now my husband walks back in my room and is looking at me getting upset cause I have not done what he asked so he thought. I hand him the paper with a huge smile on my face and wait for his reaction. Now he takes the paper and looks at it flips it over and turns it back until it finally dawns on him I actually "drew him a bath".

What adds even more humor to this story is I got to watch my husband's facial expressions as he processed what he asked for vs. what he got. He started laughing on the spot. I stumped with just a small simple thing out of the ordinary. I made him stop in his tracks just by making him laugh. His facial expressions' made me laugh even harder. The more we laughed the kids came to investigate what happens so I showed them the picture. I told the children be careful what you ask for you just might get it.

To this day we still laugh about something so small that taught us all that laughter really is the best medicine of all.
