A Little Love.

Dan Reveal
Why couldn't she take the time to wish me a peaceful good night,
when time is all it takes to find a place in other people's lives?
Run like the wind, but let me still catch you--
a little love is how a flower survives.

Hey you, do you dream in color,
or do you find it necessary to always be sure?
If for an instant, we are all the same,
why do you then overlook the solid cloak of faith's allure?

Just look for your smile in the smile of a child,
for smiles are the time it takes to find a place in other people's lives.
Run like the wind, but let me still catch you--
a little love is how a flower survives.

Your lovely words are like a festive splash of color on a gray surface: they brighten it up and put a smile on our faces. :)

Very pretty. I hope this isn't an insult to you, but I aliken your metaphors to those found in films such as Brazil and Kafka. Strange but intriguing and full of meaning.

Fantastic. You are among the best when it comes to poetry. Oh by the way, I both dream and live my waking life in color!
