A Little Thanksgiving Prayer

Shirley A Mandel
Thank you, Lord
for a day with no pain
in my body or my mind.
For I've had enough painful days
to know that this is a real gift
from your generous hand.

And no gift
is too little
to be acknowledged.
We must give thanks
for all things,
especially the things we consider
too small for special prayer,
things like enough food for the day,
a clean home to live in,
and a pain free day because
when you don't have them
they become important.

Lord you are our provider,
and all good things
come from your hand.
even the things
that are small to us.

So thank you, Lord
for a day without pain.

We have to count our blessings every moment of the day! Are we living upto His expectations or just getting lost in the mundane? I tend to automatically remember the Creator in times of great happiness, but feel gulity when I bother Him for issues that seem to linger. We should remember HIm always, but let us try to solve our problems ourselves, and for sure, we succeed most times - Shirley, a nice prayer to remember Him every moment! - siva
