I remember going to this event as a child and teen. This is a very popular school or daycare trip; so many children visit it almost constantly while it is open. It does not snow in San Jose, so seeing the entire area decked out in snow, snowmen and Christmas trees is a wonderful sight. If you live in San Jose or a surrounding city, or if you are from out of town, everyone must experience this marvel set up for the holiday season. It does get cold, so bundle up and walk around sipping your hot cocoa while watching the Christmas lights twinkle. There are giving trees from many different charities in which you can just pick a card and drop off a present for a child in need.
They add new displays every year and are a must to see in person. The creativity and playfulness behind these magical displays are incredible. The kids will think they travelled to the North Pole! If you would like to see a preview of some of the displays, click here. It will take you to the Christmas in the Park website showcasing their beautiful displays.
There will also be the Annual San Jose Holiday Parade on Sunday December 5th, at 8:30am. The parade will start at Santa Clara and Mission Streets.
Bring the kids to this wonderland of Christmas fun in Downtown San Jose. Don't forget your camera!
