Expotv was started I believe over a year ago, and started as a beta site. It has since become very open and has a set pay schedule in force. The basics of Expotv is to make a consumer opinion video, upload it and get paid. Its really that simple and they really do pay. Once you join the website you will see the pay rates broken down into category. Example this month they are paying you $10.00 to review large appliances, $5.00 to review tools, and $2.00 to review food items. Each video must be at least one minute in length, show the item being used and must be widely available for sale. They pay on a monthly schedule every video submitted by the last day of the month will be paid on the following month. Currently they only pay via pay pal, but that works out great for me.
Are you ready to make money? Very good lets go over the things you will need. First and foremost you are going to need some sort of camera. A web cam, video camera, or a quality camera that takes video with sound. You must make sure the audio and video is of good quality. Next you will need something to review, just look at the list and decide how much you would like to make. If you want to go for the $10.00 video then lets review a large appliance first. So lets start with your fridge. First make sure that your fridge is still available for sale, by searching expos database or the web. Then you might want to write out a script or practice what you will say before the camera is rolling. Then decide if someone will film you, you will use a tripod or film yourself. Just make sure that you are featured in the video at some point and time. Tell the audience the your name, what your reviewing, the model number and where they can buy it. Make sure you show them all the features and anything you like or maybe dislike about the product. That's right Expotv also accepts bad reviews, after all consumers want to know your true thoughts on the item. That's it; make sure you have at least a minute behind the camera. I like to then open up Windows Movie Maker, and edit and compress the film into the right format. Then you are ready to upload to the site, with in a week or so they will approve or deny your video. Don't worry if they deny it, they will tell you why so you have a chance to fix your mistakes.
Now just a quick note on how much money you can expect to make. Each month they will set a cap, meaning how many videos you can produce for payment. This month it's a 75 video cap. So on the low end you could expect to make $150.00 or on the high end $750.00 just based on the video pay. You can however make more then this with the performance pay option they have available, simply put you get $.01 every time someone watches one of your videos. At first you wont make much but after you get more videos up they money can really roll in. This is my sixth month and I have gone from making $5.00 in performance pay to a little over 20 this last month. Expotv is also featured on some on demand stations under the name Crave. If your video is chosen to be featured on television you will also be awarded an additional $25.00 per video selected.
As you can see you can certainly make a fair amount of money each month with not much time and work. There is no money out of pocket as you will be reviewing things you already own and use each day. You should defiantly give Expotv a try and start making some extra cash today.
