A Look at the Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS Navigation System

Did you just get a new job that requires a high amount of traveling? Are you going on a long drive to a vacation spot in the near future? Are you the type of person that always likes to have the newest, most high-tech gadgets around? If your answer is yes to any of those questions, you may find yourself in the market for an in-car navigation system. With all the brands and different models out there, how are you supposed to know which one is right for you? If you are looking for one with above-average features and options, you may want to consider the Garmin nüvi 350 navigation GPS system.

Garmin's nüvi 350 offers a nice amount of features combined with a great user interface, and the price is affordable too. Not only does this unit have all the basic features of other GPS systems in its class such as a color touchscreen, preloaded set of North American maps, voice-guided turn-by-turn directions, and compact size, but it also has a lot of extra little features too. One such feature is the ability to connect it to a computer via a USB port and upload music, audio books, photos, and maps into its 700 megabytes of memory. You can play the audio files in the car with the built-in mp3 player the unit has integrated into it. Also, the Garmin nüvi 350 GPS navigation system comes with preset points of interest such as restaurants, post offices, hotels, and more. The best part about this feature is that you can also add your own points of interests to the system. One of the greatest strengths about this specific GPS system is the speed of the satellite reception. This leads to getting reliable directions quickly and makes sure they are accurate.

Overall, the Garmin nüvi 350 is a great GPS navigation system that is very easy to operate, but what if you don't need all these extra features? If you think the nüvi 350 might be a little excessive for your needs, I recommend Garmin's StreetPilot 340c. The StreetPilot 340c doesn't have all the extra little features such as the mp3 player, but it has all the main necessities. It has the voice-guided turn-by-turn directions, which I consider a necessity, and I have had great luck with it in my experiences. If you want the extra features, go for the nüvi 350, and you won't be disappointed.

When shopping for a GPS navigation system, you want to check around for prices before you purchase one. The best price can generally be found on eBay for this unit, but Amazon currently has it priced at a reasonable $366.99 with free shipping.

Garmin has a great reliability reputation, but if you want to protect your investment, Amazon offers a couple options on service plans for the item. A two year plan is offered for $29.99 and a three year for $49.99. I never buy these service plans, but they aren't a bad option to consider.
