A Look at TNA with the Young Talent

It seems that TNA has somewhat neglected some of the younger talent within the company in favor of past Main Eventers. For instance, look no further in the TNA World Title Division. The title seems to be having that reputation and it started more so with the NWA Title that in order to hold it, you must be a former major star or someone who could have been from the WWE or WCW, sometimes ECW where they get there fame. The only exceptions that have held the title that didn't gain from there from the big three at the time while I was growing up were AJ Styles, Abyss, and Ron Killings. Those three never made it big for those companies but have the distant honor of being among the elite in such a small class. With the exception of Samoa Joe, who is looking to be elevated to the next level, very few young talent have gotten the chance to move up and mostly take up the X-Division.

The tag team division has somewhat of a balance between former WWE Tag Teams and home made teams. Some home teams that got there fame like Triple X, America's Most Wanted, and the Naturals were some of the teams that really got the division and probably the most famous ones of the three. There are a few teams that were from the WWE well known like the Voodoo Kin Mafia, Team 3D aka The Dudley Boyz, The Bashams but just known as Basham and Damaja just to name a few. At this moment, the TNA home grown teams are the LAX, Serotinin, and also most recently Murder City Machine Guns. Now, as a possible spoiler for those who didn't see Victory Road should know that Triple X has reformed with Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, and Senshi better known in the independent scene as Low Ki.

Now the X-Division is filled with mainly non-WWE talent or those who never made it with the company just yet or was with them. The top of the X-Division has been guys like "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt, Kaz or Kazarian as he is also known as. Those guys fill out the top of the division and if you want to add Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, and AJ Styles that's fine though in my own opinion they are above the title in the 1st place.

While there is really much of an issue with the X-Division or Tag Team Title divisions, the World Title seems to have the biggest problems. Now, there have been a couple people attempting to step up to that level of caliber of Main Event like Chris Harris or a case could be made for James Storm. Those two right now are probably close to Main Eventing TNA at some point in the near future. Remember when those two were a regular tag team called America's Most Wanted? Well, times have changed and now they are both on a singles run. While filling in the middle of the pack would be Robert Roode, Eric Young, and Lance Hoyt since they don't compete within the X-Division ranks. Most of the talent in the mid card position that I've noticed has mainly been involved with the X-Division and in the upper card but not main event level would be "The War Machine" Rhino. There is a good amount of talent if the company doesn't give them the chance to step up into that Main Event scene the most, then this company is not going to go far. No big name star is going to spike the ratings for them and get a major increase. I would say that the only thing they can do now is try utilizing there own talent creating a different fan base, and go from there. Hopefully TNA will do that more so and give other talent a shot to help step up to the plate and become the stars of the future. There is no tomorrow for them. If they can do this, then perhaps TNA can become a success alternate but as far as being a challenge to WWE, that could happen but it will take a while before something like that can even occur.
