A Lost Love

I sit here on the couch hoping that you will return, but deep down I know there is not a possibility. To tell the truth all hope was lost after you'd been gone a week. I love you so very much, there is no way on earth another person could begin to love you like I do. Why did you go? Where did you go? I sit back and wonder if it is something that I've done, or could it have been something that I said to make you leave me all alone.

When I first laid my eyes on you I knew in my heart that you were meant for me, and the times we shared will go on in my life until the day I leave this earth. We loved the same movies, always took long walks together, and with you I felt so safe as if nothing could harm me. Nowadays I wonder about like a zombie wondering where it went wrong.

I hope that you're alright, to think of something horrible happening to you makes my heart sink into an oblivion that is has no chance of escaping from. At the same time my heart knows that only death could keep you away. I've almost gone through a whole box of Kleenex, because the tears just refuse to stop falling . I've made a very hard decision.

It's time to get another dog.
