I too lost something of value last month, a diamond pendant on a chain that was a Christmas gift from my mom, and I never owned a diamond before in my life so this little piece of jewelry had both sentimental and monetary value to me.
When I discovered it missing, it had been stashed in my handbag because it had fallen off, I looked everywhere for it like the woman with the lost coin;. I looked all over the house and at church, and I thought that if I had lost it at Wal Mart it was long gone. When I didn't find it I went to my knees and prayed to God that it would somehow be returned to me. And then I forgot about it hoping that Mom wouldn't ask about it. What was I going to tell her; that I had lost her very thoughtful, and expensive gift? I kept my mouth shut.
Today I went to the clinic to see my health care provider, and I saw a sign on the receptionist's window that said " Lost and Found: a Necklace. I had not been there in over a month but I just knew it was mine. The receptionist rifeled though a drawer that looked like it was full of junk, and I thought, "Oh no they lost it." Then va la there was my pendant!
The first thing that I did when I arrived home was to call my best friend Jane and exclaim, "Oh Jane, I found it. I found my necklace!"
The Lord had heard my little prayer. He hears all my little prayers. And it doesn't make any difference if the matter is only a trivial one, if the prayer is whispered and it only concerns a little trinket that has much sentimental value.
God cares.

I'm glad you got your necklace back and your prayers were answered.
It is very good that we have a God that does care.
A story carved in life, thank you.

A wonderful story!
I am floating past to see what you had for today.
What a great story! And I couldn't agree more: God hears all of our prayers, little or big. :)
I am so glad you got it back. What a wonderful share with all of us. Yes, he does answer prayers but really the important thing is that we are listening when he answers.
