A Love Gone Wrong

A Love Gone Wrong
September 21, 2009

A twisted riddle
Stared back at me in the mirror
My tears fallen upon empty emotions
No one hears my heartfelt cries of desperation
Longing for the nightmare of loneliness
To dissipate and return with thunderous
Sounds of happiness and triumph

Elation has progressively slid through the fingers of time
Taking with it the will to survive
Leaving a vacuous void of a heathen nature
Raping the dignity of adoration
And love resolved

Why has your heart betrayed me so
Where is the devotion that your eyes promised
Is the complexity of opening your heart
Revealing a significant discrepancy in your soul
A rip in the timeline of natures' course

Flowers wilting with the sentimental passion
Writhing from a deep seated pain
Discovering only solitary confinement
Because the emptiness overshadowed any good
Dying from abandonment of a love gone wrong
