I climb up the trellis
No fear
I imagine I'm on that mountain
taking a bite off that rainbow
That beacon of dreams
No fear
I imagine I'm on that mountain
taking a bite off that rainbow
That beacon of dreams
And I'd fall off this here mountain
if I were to concede to sadness
To reluctance
If I surrendered to cowardice
But surrendering
I don't know how to
I only know how to
hold you without preoccupation
In the moment
I'm unaware of anything else
I just know that
I could love you through the troubles
and through the aching
I would give you everything
I would give you anything
When the sky is black as pitch I take care to
leave the light on
Lighting those candles in the hallway
that would lead you to our bed
where we know each other in complete honesty
