A Love We Do Share

Coffee Mugg

The days creep by ever so slowly,
The nights are the worst,
Missing you so badly,
For your love, I do thirst.

Time will tell,
What the future brings,
Roses of pastel,
The birds do sing.

A song for us,
Is meant to be,
In it we witness,
How great to be free.

The world with all it's hugeness,
No way can compare,
To the love in it's greatness,
For you and I to share.

So patience is a virtue,
With love in the air,
We'll walk a different avenue,
When our love we do share.

I want to be with you,
All the days and the nights,
You know this to be true,
You know it to be right.

The time is getting near,
For a love we do share,
This is perfectly clear,
No love can compare.

I agree with catdog, a day without a poem from Ken is a sad one indeed. Very good luck with the poetry competition, i an sure you will win!

Astonishing! You took my breath away once again. Which you seem to appear to be great at doing. Your words written, I feel I am living. That is how stupendous you are as a writer and poet. What have you heard on your poem on the contest? Work let me out early, and I knocked their socks off! After two hours, they said come back tomorrow, and you won't be training. I was the only one who on their first day in their history to be taken off training and put on the floor. Of course it helps when you carry yourself with pride and have class as well. Finding in Memphis there is "too good" and "ghetto," (at least my experience, no offense to anyone). Maybe that is why they love Arkansas gals? Ha Ha. Back to your poem and less of my rambling. I am truly inspired by your writing and honestly believe, that if you skipped a day, I would be lost in a world of haze. Thank you for keeping my inspiration going, for which I didn't think would even last this long.
