A Man from Galilee

Quickpaws
On all hill called "Calvary"
Hung a spotless Lamb.
This humble Man from Galilee
Was Heaven's Great "I AM".

The Cross that held Him,
Rough and cold,
Had been cut from a tree
That Jesus grew in days of old.
He grew it selflessly.

He took the thorns upon His Head
That should have been for me.
He took the nails in Holy Hands...
This Man from Galilee.

The Blood flowed from His Royal Veins
To ransom wicked me,
Breaking Satan's loathsome chains.
Now I'm forever free!

From this day forward, this I vow:
To serve the Lamb who cried,
Who suffered, died, and rose again
To have me by His Side!

Thank you, Jack, for your words of encouragement. They came at a critical time, and I don't see that as an accident. Please feel free to share links to this page with any of your friends that might be touched by this poem. That's what this piece of writing is all about. God bless you, Jack!
