A Man for the Night - Miranda Lee

A Man for the Night, by Miranda Lee was released in November 2002 as number 64 in the Harlequin Blaze line. As it was released so many years ago the best place to look for this book would be E-bay, thrift stores and yard sales. If you do stumble across this book, grab it. It's well worth the read.

Josie Williams knows full well that if she arrives at her class reunion without a date she will never hear the end of it, especially from her old rival. Bad enough that at the last reunion she had been recovering from a bad divorce and looked like a wreck. If she can't pull it together for this one she'll never be able to live it down. But the answer is simple. Hire an escort. Not a prostitute, but one of the glamorous male escorts who make their living acting as dates for business women. No one would know, except her, and what could go wrong?

When Callum McCloud arrives on her doorstep Josie can barely believe her luck. Not only is he strong, good looking and intelligent, but he acts like a knight protector at the first sign of trouble.

Callum isn't exactly what she thinks either. He's no escort, just a successful, globe trotting engineer doing a favor for his brother. But one night with Josie isn't going to be enough. Despite their good intentions to keep sex off the table neither of them are able to keep their hands off each other and Callum awakens and unlocks Josie's sexual desire. A desire she has struggled to keep under lock and key ever since her disaster of a marriage.

But will their mutual lust remain just that, or tip them both over the edge into the realms of love and passion - a realm neither of them are prepared to face.

Ms. Lee has written a steaming, tightly written, romance. The sex scenes sizzle off the pages. Josie's realization that there's nothing wrong with a woman wanting sex, good, hot sex, is wonderful to read. Ms. Lee takes a character who has lived behind a self made shell, a wall of protection where she has come to accept that she's 'abnormal', then leads her down a journey, in the hands of a protective, sensual man.

A beautiful and sensual story that I would recommend to any who enjoy erotic romance.
