A Memory of You and Me

Coffee Mugg
In the midst of the evening,
Among the trees,
The wind is blowing,
A very nice breeze.

The frogs are singing,
Crickets chirping too,
They all are talking,
Of everything new.

Coyotes are happy,
You can tell by their song,
Greeting each other,
They are so strong.

Just you and I,
Among all life,
Resting and laughing,
Deep into the night.

Stars brightly shining,
Thru the clouds,
An owl flies over,
But not very loud.

Then I awake,
You are gone,
No animals,
Singing their song.

Only a dream,
Of what I wish could be,
Only a memory,
Of you and me.
