A Message from Virginia Tech

Clark Richards
The massacre at Virginia Tech (VT) on April 16, 2007 resulted in the death of 32 students at the hands of a crazed shooter that committed suicide after his atrocity. Many others were wounded.

America reached out to Virginia Tech and the families of the fallen in a time of much angst and sorrow.

Prayer and remembrance vigils were held in colleges and universities across America and many people donated money to help the families. The New York Yankees donated $1,000,000. Many Americans wore Virginia Tech hats or other clothing items to visibly demonstrate their sorrow.

The VT campus has been changed forever by this tragedy, but thousands of students gathered recently to take a few moments to visually provide their thanks to the many that shared that time of sorrow with them.

The picture says it all.

It's wonderful to see a positive creative message from the school after such a horrific tragedy. Last September, I wrote a letter to the pres. of VT asking him to disinvite the "gangsta" rapper appearing at the memorial/benefit concert.
