A New Modeling Reality Show: Kim Alexis' Shes Got the Look

Shana Box
With the success of Americas Next Top Model, it was really only a matter of time before another Model based reality show hit the air waves. TV Land has paired up with Kim Alexis, a former Super Model, bringing together older women to create a second chance for them to have a shot at a modeling career. Women came from all over the United States, ages 35 and older to audition. But will it bring in the ratings and interest that ANTM has?

Premiering June 4th, the show will begin by showing auditions from around the country. And like auditions for any reality show, should bring in viewers. It airs at rather odd times, the Premier airing at 8:00 am. And then several times again in the next day or so, in case you miss it initially. It does have the makings of an interesting show, and will appeal to a whole different demographic. The winner will walk away with a Modeling Contract with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, and a spread in Self Magazine.

Still not sure if you want to watch? Check out the Celebrities who signed on as judges. First up, Beverly Johnson. A supermodel who has proved time again, age is nothing but a number! Also on board is Wilhelmina Agencies President Sean Patterson. The third judge, is celebrity stylist Robert Verdi. We have seen him on various award programs, as well as style programs. He is hilarious and should bring a certain degree of comedy relief.

Being a brand new show, the buzz for it is just beginning. I checked out some message boards to see what people were saying. Looks like there are already some fans out there. Most are interested in Beverly Johnson and what role she will take as a judge.

I might catch one or more episodes just to see if it can catch up to the hype. I am a die hard fan of ANTM, partially because I love the drama and the "snarkiness" of the models to be. Will the women on She's Got The Look be just as catty, or instead focus on the competition and winning? But come on, can you really put women in a house together, pit them against one another and not get some nasty and entertaining television?!

This show is for the women out there looking for a something that might have a little more substance then Americas Next Top Model, boost their own confidence, and show us all that life definitely DOES NOT end at 30!!
