A Modern Romantic

Am I delusional enough to believe I can make him want me?

Or am I just a true romantic

Thousands of miles between us,

a few phone calls,

and only as many texts as our fingers can send,

but still I believe I can melt his heart

and capture the love within.

Still I believe I have the power

to make him want to be with me above anything else.

That I could turn him on with the sound of my voice.

And with the promise of my flashing baby blues,

sweet kisses, and baby soft skin.

And maybe when he comes back to visit,

It will become harder for him to continue walking away.
