A Mole Reporting on Joefergsports "whacked League"

Greetings flag football fans, another installment by your favorite writer, the bulldog of the ages. Sources have just reported that Joe Ferg, from the Maryland Silver Spring "whackass no linemen-necessary football league" is struggling to find teams and players for his tournaments.

The scoop apparently is this, Ferg comes up with all kinds of fake declarations on how a tournament is close to capacity, and that he has so many teams to play, but in reality is hurting for quality participants. Moreover, sources are complaining that Ferg has recently charged a pricey sum of $800.00 bucks per team for a simple weeknight Spring league in 2008 -- which is reported to have but a handful of games.

Does he really think he can compete with novaffl.com, where the Commissioner consistently keeps the prices low (under $300 for 15+ games plus playoffs?)

JOE: This is a reminder that the deadline for the All or Nothing 4on4 tournament

is tomorrow. We are expecting the available slots to close soon so

if you have not registered your team, today is the day to do so. Only 20 teams

will be allowed to compete.

Ferg Player: What time does this tourney start? That would be good to put on the website. I'll sign up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

JOE: Good idea. I will post the time now.

Ferg player: I tried to sign up on your website and there was an error. Do you want to

just put my name down and pay when we get there or what?

JOE: An error is highly unlikely. What did the error say?

JOE: I received the error and I will be fixing it in a second.

JOE: Sorry for that mishap. The issue should be resolved now.

Ferg Player: I just wanted to confirm that you got my confirmation and payment.

JOE: Yes, you are all set.

Ferg Player: quick question, can we bring 5 and substitute for the tourney or in case

someone gets injured?

JOE: You can have as many people as you want on your team for the tournament.

JOE: We will be postponing this weekend's tournament. It will be rescheduled for the following Saturday. If this causes an issue for you email us and we will refund your entree fee, if not there is no action needed and we will see on the 13th.

Ferg player: Dude, I had people traveling to come play. Whats the hold up? lets play!

JOE: Believe me, I am eager to hold the tournament too, but I had to postpone

because we had a few teams who registered but didn't pay the fee. I want at

least 8 teams to compete. I only had 4 who paid; I'd rather not have a

tournament than have one that is weak.

Ferg player: Thats sucks. too bad you couldnt make them pay directly from your website.

Or maybe even call them and make them pay. Just give them a line "You are

contractually committed. You must pay by tonight and show up on Saturday or

you will be billed." :)

JOE: I have one position left in our collections department, you want it??? :)
