As the mother of two young children my Christmas list is one that might be a little unusual. When considering what I want for Christmas there are only a few material things that come to mind. I will list the "toys" I want for Christmas first as these might be a bit easier for you to come through with.
1) For Christmas this year I would like an Amazon Kindle. I love to read but getting through a trip to Barnes and Nobles with children under the age of three can be a daunting task. Life would be so much easier if I could simply upload my favorite books to a device.
2) I would also like a Wii gaming system and Wii fit software. I have quite a bit of baby weight left to lose and I can not pull off the round and jolly look like you can.
3) I would like the SIMS 3 game for Playstation three. I love creating virtual characters and manipulating their lives.
4) I would like at least one night a week where I get at least eight consecutive hours of sleep. Perhaps you could give the kids a few extra good dreams on this night so that they sleep longer?
5) I would like personal trainer to come to my house every few days and kick my postpartum booty into shape. Preferably Jillian Michaels.
6) I would like to see fewer stick thin models on magazines. Not only are these models unhealthy they send horrible messages to young girls.
7) I would like chocolate to be declared a low fat, low-cal vegetable of which five servings a day are recommended. Good luck with this one Santa.
8) I would like to develop better drivings skills that allow me to back out of the driveway without hitting the garage or house.
9) I would like one whine free day a week in which my children are perfectly behaved and experience no temper tantrums.
10) I would like my children's Christmas presents to come completely assembled so my husband and I are not up all night on Christmas Eve.
I have many more requests Santa but I think ten will do for now. And Santa, if you could also create world peace, end homelessness, hunger, and domestic violence, and eliminate financial debt for all Americans that would be great too. No pressure though.
Sincerely,
A Mommy
