A Mom's Review of the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller

There are so many strollers to choose from these days. There are travel systems, folding umbrella strollers, and snap and go types. Deciding which stroller is best for your situation can be difficult. After trying all the different types of strollers, I think I've found the best solution for many parents.

The Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller has been one of the best purchases we've ever made. This lightweight (12 pound) stroller folds nearly flat for easy storage. It's so compact that it easily fits in the trunk of our small car, leaving plenty of room for hauling groceries, or other items without taking up the entire space of the trunk.

With our oldest child, we purchased a travel system and vowed never again to use those big and bulky strollers. The large strollers that are included in the travel system are huge. In fact, my husband playfully nicknamed ours "The Hummer" because it felt like we were steering a large Hummer SUV every time we used it. It was hard to maneuver and even harder to fit in the trunk of our small car. In fact, the large stroller barely fit in our trunk, and once we finally would wiggle it in there, there wasn't even enough room for a diaper bag, let a lone anything else.

That's not the case with the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller. It is so compact that you don't have to worry about losing space in the trunk or in the closet. It's also very easy to steer and maneuver. In fact, I've been able to easily steer it with one hand while holding my older son's hand at the same time. It's very lightweight and doesn't give you that bulky feeling that the travel system stroller does.

It's also very easy to use. You simply snap your infant car seat onto the stroller frame and go. There is a very audible snapping noise that lets you know you've properly secured your child's car seat to the stroller base. There are even straps you can use as an additional peace of mind safety feature that weave into the car seat's sides to double secure the seat in the stroller.

The Snap-N-Go stroller even has 2 cup holders near the handle for mom and dad to use, and a storage compartment with lid for things like keys or tissue. There is also a large basket on the bottom that will easily hold a diaper bag and more. The stroller will work with most major brands of car seats, not just the Baby Trend car seats, so that is a major plus as well.

You can safely use this stroller until your child no longer fits in his/her infant car seat. My suggestion for when that happens is to simply buy a low cost foldable umbrella stroller. By that time, your child should be sitting up on his/her own well and so an umbrella stroller will work just fine. Plus, it would also be lightweight and foldable, giving you the same convenience that the Snap-N-Go stroller provides when your child is young. I feel that the introduction of the Snap-N-Go stroller from Baby Trend has paved the way for the demise of the big and bulky travel systems that used to be so popular. Now, many more parents will find the option of an affordable Snap-N-Go stroller to be much more favorable. After all, the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller retails for around $59 which is far less than the $199 and up that most travel systems cost.

The only drawback to the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller is that when you have the infant seat snapped into the stroller frame, it can be a bit difficult to access the contents of the basket if your diaper bag is a large one. This is only a minor drawback, since most people will have no problems with this stroller at all, but since it has been a bit inconvenient at times, I felt it was worth mentioning. Overall, I think the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Stroller is a great buy and one of the best products we've ever purchased. You can find this stroller at Babies R Us, Target, Amazon.com and other fine retailers.
