Having fun in Las Vegas with kids is easy if you know what things there are to do and you have the right travel guide. These are my top picks of the best things to do in Las Vegas with kids.
Circus Circus- www.Circuscircus.com
Circus Circus is a hotel and casino that has many things that will keep kids of all ages entertained. Throughout the day there is an area where different circus acts are preforming. This is a great place to sit and relax for a few minutes while watching great performers. The best part about the circus acts is that that they are free. The start about every hour or so, and the seating is first come first serve.
Circus Circus also has a midway area with all the typical midway games. You and your kids could play for hours trying to win stuffed animals and other small prizes. To me the midway games in Circus Circus is almost like slot machines for kids. But beware just like slot machines the midway games will take a lot of your money.
The Best part about Circus Circus for kids in Las Vegas is Adventure-dome. Adventure dome is a fully enclosed amusement park for all ages. One of the best features is the climate control, you don't have to be outside in the blazing heat. You can either but tickets for each ride or you can buy a wrist band that lets you and your kids have unlimited rides. Adventure dome is a huge and a lot of fun, you can easily spend a whole day here.
Sam's Town Indoor Park
Sam's Town Hotel and Casino is off the strip but it is worth the 5-10 minute drive. Inside Sam's town is a huge indoor. While this park is fully enclosed so you won't have to deal with any of the elements of the weather, you would never realize it was enclosed. You feel like you are outside on a beautiful day. Kids will love exploring the park and watching the -fake- animals. There are even shops and a restaurant inside the park. There is a stream running through the park that throughout the day have a show that includes and bear and a light show. The show is free and is excellent entertainment for kids and adults alike.
Rio's Masquerade in the sky
Rio Hotel and Casino is also off the strip, but it offers kids in Las Vegas fun things to do. Several times a day they have their masquerade in the sky which is a floating parade of dancing and fun. The best view is from the level above the casino floor, so kids can easily watch. There is also a show on the floor with dancing, stilt walking, and clowns. Kids will love this break from the main strip of Las Vegas, and you will love the party atmosphere. While the floats circle the floor the performers throw beads to the waving crowd --Don't worry its all PG--. If you find out before hand and you can even pay to ride one of the floats. Kids would love to ride around on a float and wave at the adoring crowd.
Gameworks
Located on the strip near MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, gameworks is a lot of fun and games for everyone especially kids in Las Vegas. Gameworks has every type of video, motion, and interactive games imaginable. You could stay busy at Gameworks for hours at a time. The only downside is the cost, the games are fun but they aren't cheap.
Rides Throughout Las Vegas
If your kids are daredevils Las Vegas has every type of ride imaginable. There are several roller coasters. New York New York has a great roller coaster that goes around the outside of the hotel. Sahara has another fun roller coaster. Stratosphere at the end of the Las Vegas Strip offers a lot of rides that older kids would love. At the top of the Stratosphere there is a huge roller coaster, there is also a ride that actually takes you off the edge of the building. For some tamer rides Luxor has a fun selection of motion rides. If your kids are looking for thrills in Las Vegas there is no shortage of them.
By thinking outside of the box you can see that Las Vegas can be fun for kids. Las Vegas is always though of as a great place to go where adults can have fun, but kids can also have a great time in Las Vegas with just a little research.
