A Mother Celebrates Her Son This Independence Day

FIRST PERSON | What does America mean to me? It simply means the world to me. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for being able to live and breathe in this beautiful country. America is the land where dreams and opportunities become a reality. I have been blessed with a miracle. If I didn't live in America, I do not believe I would be blessed.

My son is my miracle for this 4th of July holiday season. America has provided him with medical support that I do not believe he could get anywhere else in the world. America is a great place to call home. In the last three years, my son has not had a revision on his VP shunt. America has made it possible for him to grow and be an individual.

The birth of our country has opened the doors for all of us. We have been given grand opportunities that many other countries do not have. We have evolved so much through the years. It is a blessing to be able to call America home sweet home. Time and time again, America has provided us all with life full of great dreams. This country truly is the best.

My son was born with hydrocephalus and Klinefeltner syndrome. If he had been born in another country, I believe he would not have had a fighting chance to live and grow. The doctors in America have given my son a chance. America is the reason he is alive. I live and breathe the dreams of this land of opportunities.

The 4th of July is just around the corner. We celebrate America with friends and family. Picnics, parades and fireworks are our way of celebrating this holiday each and every year. It is a grand old time. America is the land of the free. Our Independence Day is a day to celebrate. This country means the world to me. Let's celebrate together with beautiful fireworks with our friends and family this year.

Dreams have become a reality for me in this country. You can't go wrong living here in America. I feel so blessed to be here with my son. Why should we be blessed to live in America? There are so many reasons to choose from. I have chosen to continue to live in this grand country, but it has never let me down. I owe America so much for giving me my miracle child.
