Ginny was a youthful young lady with her life ahead of her. Her life came to a sudden halt at the age of 17 when she was violently strike down by a drunk driver in a boating accident. The driver, whose name will remain concealed, struck Ginny Denison while she was on a jet ski. The accident resulted in the lost of Ginny's left leg and according to doctors the ability to have children after her feminine organs were destroyed.
After years of rehabilitation, Ginny was able to get on with her life and live a normal life. It was during these years that she meant Brian Dent. Through a special bond, and a miracle of god, Ginny and Brian had their first child together, Eva who is now fourteen years old. Three years later, Ginny would be blessed once again with her second child, Addy.
Unfortunately, Ginny and Brian's relationship did not work out, though the two remain great friends to this day.
Ginny used this time to follow her dream of living in Alaska. It was while she was there that she meant Christopher White. Ginny fell in love in with Christopher and the two shared a gift in Quinn, their fifteen month old son.
Unfortunately, the relationship was a nightmare. Christopher was verbally and physically abusive toward Ginny, and became worse when he discovered she was pregnant.
Ginny was ordered by Christopher to have an abortion and when she failed to do so he pinned her on a coat rack. Ginny still bares the scars of that attack, and many more, to this day.
However, for Ginny she would endure it all over again to avoid what she is going through now.
Three weeks after giving birth to Quinn, Ginny was told by Alaska doctors to get her belongings together. It was a frightening time for Ginny, fearing for her children and believing she was going to die.
But someone had other plans and Ginny had a chance to recover. Ginny, who had a serious bone infection in her left leg, was told a hospital in Seattle could help save her life.
Ginny had a tough decision to make but it was a decision that came easy for her. She chose to give up her dream of living in Alaska to spend the rest of her life with her three children.
Two close friends of Ginny's, Stephanie and Dan, paid for her to get to Seattle. Ginny was there for two months before returning home to her children. During that time, Ginny's oldest daughter was going on a rampage that later led to the family being separated. .
Because of Ginny's health, it was her family wish she return to Michigan so she could have proper medical treatment. With three tickets in hand, Ginny and the children were ready to go, but three hours before the flight Eva would run away.
Unfortunately, Ginny had to make a very difficult decision, a decision no parent should ever have to make. Ginny could either stay and die, leaving behind three children or leave with her two youngest children and hope Eva could be found. Ginny decided she had to go with the hope that Eva would be found and join them in Michigan.
With the help of a CPS worker, Ginny boarded the plane and was strongly assured that Eva was a runaway and this was not abandonment. The CPS worker, who name can not be revealed due to court hearings stated 'You are doing the best thing'.
Those words still sit on Ginny's mind to this day.
"I will never forget those words." Ginny Denison said while telling her story.
Ginny now lives in Michigan with only two of her children. Eva has been placed in a detention center in Alaska and has little contact with her mother due to lack of phone privileges. Ginny makes ever attempt to try and talk to Eva once a week and continues to pray for the return of her daughter.
Unfortunately, Ginny knows she has two other children to take care of but it is her wish to get Eva to Michigan where they can have a chance of building the family back together.
This is not the case as Eva and Ginny are being kept apart.
"CPS has never called me. Her case worker finally calls me a week before court. I did not even know she had to be in court until her case worker called me. My attorney does not even bother to call me or return my calls and now I am being told that if I don't sign these papers agreeing to give up my daughter I could lose my son." Stated Ginny.
While Ginny has been busy dealing with Eva, Christopher files from Prison for custody of their son, Quinn. Christopher, who has been in prison on Violent crimes, along with his wife Monika (Zuniga) White, who has been arrested on drugs filed against Ginny two days before the three of them would become a legal resident of state of Michigan.
Because Ginny and her son were not legal residents yet, the law is on Christopher's side and the case will handled in Alaska.
Ginny, who gets a total of $900 a month to live, due to her disability, can not afford a decent attorney to help fight for her son. After numerous calls to Michigan attorneys, who can not take the case due to it being in Alaska, and Alaska attorney's who also refuses to help, Ginny is now left with no attorney to aid her in the fight for her son.
Ginny received notice of the court hearing for Quinn via email. No other documentation has been received until the day before court.
The document stated that Ginny had abandoned Eva.
"I don't know what to do. I feel like everyone is against me. They have to be. Who sets up a hearing for one child exactly one hour before you go for your second child to the same judge. No one will help. I don't want to lose my son. I have already lost my daughter and now they (Alaska) is trying to take my son away from me to. I would die before I could see my son go to him. If Christopher gets him Quinn will be dead in a year or worse. I can not allow my son go to a man who has violently hurt people and a wife who has given drugs to minors. And Addy... My poor little girl is so afraid. She loves her brother and no one thinks of her. Let me tell you something. Each morning I wake up to a note from my daughter telling me how much she loves me and apologizing for things that other people are doing to us. It isn't her fault yet she feels helpless. I feel helpless. She loves Quinn. She DELIVERED Quinn and the bond she has with him is very strong. Not only did she have to watch me suffer and fear she would lose me but now she is afraid she is going to lose her brother."
Ginny and her family has been through so much, more than any family should have to witness. The laws that we no are different in Alaska and without aid Ginny may lose those she fought to live for.
September 16, 2010 Ginny will appear, via phone, before a judge to fight for her children. To save both she must give up Eva, something she does not want to do, but Ginny knows that she will get Eva back.
"They have lied to me left and right. I don't know who to believe anymore or who to trust. If it was not for the case worker I would not even know about Eva's hearing and then what would of happened? I would have not shown and how would that of looked an hour later when I appeared in front of the same judge for Quinn. I love all my children and all I want is my family together. If I were to die tomorrow, I could go in piece knowing they are safe. Right now they are in danger of being put in a dangerous situation that could traumatize them all for life. The emotional scars will always remain but I know we can pull through it. I just have to keep him from getting Quinn and then get Eva home. I am not going to die, not today nor a year from now. But if I were still seriously ill I would want them with me, to know me. I hold my son in my arms and I start to cry thinking that Chris may get him and Quinn not knowing his mom."
Ginny is a strong woman and this is a plea for help. One person could make a difference, just one, and perhaps with enough people Ginny can get the help she needs to save her children.
