A Mother's Love Never Dies - a Poem

My daughter
you don't have to be perfect
for me to love you
and we don't always have to agree
I know there will be times
when we don't see eye to eye
and there will be times
you want to do things your way
and make your own mistakes
just remember that I'll love you
through all the ups and downs of your life
I'll always be someone you can talk to
there will always be a shoulder you can cry on
my arms will always have a loving embrace
because a Mother's love never dies
