A Mother's Prayer

Blessed Agony

Shana Dines
Oh blessed agony
Weep not for me,
Weeping walls,
Have their place.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
But for he,
That has lost his way.

Anyone,
Who has lost a son,
Knows the pain,
That cannot be explained.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
But pray for those,
Who have lost their souls.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
Hope feels lost,
At what cost,

Hopelessness and despair,
Feels so unfair,
We walk a path of righteousness,
Following the light,
But right is not without pain.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
Buckets I have wept
As I have slept.

Hold out your hand,
To the child who is a man,
Pray for him to find his way,
To God and restore his soul.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
But for those who carry another's cross.
I cry out,
I have my doubt,
But with you Lord,
All things are possible.

Restore my faith,
I lift up my prayer,
Your ways are mysterious,
I may be furious,
You understand.
My cries are heartfelt prayer.

Oh blessed agony,
Weep not for me,
Not for me only,
But all mother's
Who carry their children's cross.

I agree with Kristie it really is very moving and sad. Bless all parents who have lost children, that certainly is the worse cross anyone has to bear.
