A Mother's Pride

Charlotte Kuchinsky

I wrote this poem for my son, who has become one of the strongest men I know.

I look at you
And think I see
At least a small
Piece that is me.
It's in your heart
And in your soul;
A courage strong
That won't let go.

I watch your eyes
As you observe
The life you love
Without reserve.
So now I know
My job is done.
You have it all.
Your life you've won.

    That made me think about my son. I'm a little teary-eyed.
