A Mother's Tribute
Held our hands as toddlers teaching us to walk and talk.
Bandaged our scrapes and cuts when we fell from our bikes when quite small,
dried our tears and hugged us all.
Helped us with our homework so we wouldn't fail our tests,
encouraging us to do our best.
You listen to our woes when our hearts were broken when we got our first big crush.
Helped to pick out that really important dress for our prom.
You were there for me on Graduation day, smiling, happy and ever so gay.
Now its my Wedding day. You bring to me once again your love, support and kind hearted advice.
Your grandchildren are born and your now up in years. Its time for me to show you all the love, kindness and support you showed me all those years.
You need to know how much I love you and appreciate you for all you've done for me all these years.
