A Mountain Called Life

I stand before a great mountain
With steep slopes and jagged peaks.
Around me is a dark and lonely forest
Where fear and shadows creep.

From every side I am surrounded
By many different voices.
I am afraid and unwilling
For there are many different choices.

But I know I must stand and lift my own voice.
I must be my own person and make my own choice.
I will climb the great mountain
and bravely strive to overtake, for through I may fall,
I will learn from my mistakes.
