A Musical and Educational Camp Experience

If you're looking for several options for an educational and musical camp experience, the Greater Kansas City Metro area has some good choices.

10th Annual Kansas City Jazz Camp is sponsored by the KCJO and KCKCC.

This day camp is geared for ages 13 years old to adult. Novices up to advanced are encouraged to attend. It will feature jazz pros from the local area. Students will enjoy faculty jam sessions, jazz combos, group lessons and improv classes. Additionally there will be a Friday field trip and student gig in a local jazz club.

School of Rock

Participants will learn how to hone their skills while performing live. Workshops and instructional clinics will give students an opportunity to learn to play together in a band setting while learning the importance of proper stage presence.

There will be 6 sessions offered during the summer beginning the week of June 12. The last session starts on August 8.
