A Must Have Christmas Gift

Very Functional and Very Useful

This does not come cheap, so this will not sit well with the budget conscious, but we are talking here of "must have" and not of "least expensive," right?

The must have gift for this Christmas, in my best considered opinion is: the latest model cell phone in the market (whatever it is), that's what. The kind that can make you read a book even when there is none in sight; the kind that can let you log in to Associated Content even when there is no wall to plug into. A phone that can do more than call, text and take pictures.

Calling a cellphone a mere phone is somewhat of a misnomer nowadays. You see, this continuously shrinking and rapidly upgraded, pocket wonder performs a variety of functions. It is truly a miniature computer with a lot of extras. Best of all, the cell phone is not as bulky as the smallest "notebook" in the market today.

The modern day cellphone has made the word "convergence" an archaic expression. It has also made several gadgets obsolete. Among those are electronic gadgets, the yuppies and execs never leave home without, only less than ten years before. Some such gadgets are: the PDA, the pager, the pocket calculator, the MP3 player, the camera, even the original landline phone and many others. This early, tech geeks are already predicting that the cellphone's relentless innovation will victimized the laptop err notebook next.

The recipient of this generous gift(by my standard) in addition to having a brand new phone, will no longer need an alarm clock or even a wristwatch! Which is just kind of cool.

Indeed, the cellphone is fast becoming the device for more and more things. It has eaten up the functions of other "must have" gadgets only a few years before. It is a most convenient tech-tool to have around, in these fast pace days of instant things.

The foregoing are the rationale why the latest model, state-of-the-art cell phone, is an absolute must have Christmas gift, in my book, this year
