A Night at Carnavor

From the moment the front door is opened to you you realize this is no ordinary dining establishment. You walk through the bar area where a few tables are seated. You notice a waterfall of wood running down the wall next to the staircase leading you to the upstairs dining room. The elegant s of Carnavor trickle down the walls all around you. Light and dark brown sued are firmly placed on the walls. The table is exquisitely lavished with the proper attire. A fine black leather chair is your resting spot. you are greeted by a beautiful deep wine glass and black napkins wrapped in a sparkling silver ring. A fork to your right and a knife to your left you are all prepared to enjoy in a wonderful meal.

You are greeted by a waiter or waitress who are wonderfully dressed in all black with a long black apron. They give you your drink menu and begin to go through a delightful reenactment of what you will find inside. After this is complete they bring over a waiter who wonderfully recites the menu with an unbelievable talent for memorization. I believe the young man who did this for us was named Jason. He did a stunning performance and schooled us on what was strategically placed on the leather bound menu. After this our waiter Nick assisted us on what delicious meal we would choose.

The special for that evening was a surf and turf with either a 8oz fillet and 1/2 lbs lobster tail already taken out of the shell or a 10 oz fillet and a 1 lbs lobster tail already taken out of the shell.

The soup was a new england clam chowder with a think cream sauce and the finest clams.

For my dinner drink I ordered a Appletinie famously printed in the drink menu. My date tried the raspberrytini which was also delicious.

They brought an onion and garlic loaf with a delicious house spread. We sat and enjoyed the bread and our drinks. It was a wonderful time to sit in peace and carry a conversation. Carnavor is a great quiet place to sit and enjoy your company.

I chose the Roasted Amish Chicken in a citrus sauce. I also ordered the twice baked. They prepare the twice baked with peas, bacon, and topped with mozzarella. The roasted chicken's citrus sauce was wonderful as well. Every bite was better then the last. My date also ordered the Kansas City strip med/well done with a small piece of garlic butter. The meat was wonderfully cooked and just melted in your mouth.

Carnavor was absolutely wonderful. They are beautifully set up and have not lost the touch of above and beyond service. They take your coats and are very charming. They treat you as though your their only customer. I would recommend you go to Carnavor if you would like to have a truly romantic evening.

Carnavor is located on Milwaukee st. Next to bar three. We got great front parking and were seated right away.

Mother of one, I stay busy with work and taking care of my house. I love to write in my spare time. Life is pretty frantic but I like to take some time for myself now and then.  View profile
