A month ago three-year-old Lana, daughter of Brit and Shannon Turner, was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer.

"Atlanta Has a Heart Concert for Lana" will take place Feb. 13, beginning at 8 p.m. and ending the next day at 3 a.m. at The Peachtree Tavern, 3179 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia with a hundred percent of the proceeds going to The Lana Turner Cancer Fund. (Source: Charley Magruder's).

Kaedy Kiley from 97.1 The River will be one of the many guests/emcees for the evening including GRIP, the town's number one party band and number one requested biker band.

"The Peachtree Tavern has opened their doors and hearts for this occasion and Bradley, owner and close friend, has given us permission to 'girlie up' his rock n' roll venue in pink, red, and white for a Valentine's/heart/love theme for Lana," said Rob Alex, who created a Facebook page for the event. "The bartenders are concocting all sorts of pink and red Absolut shot specials, there will be press, video, professional photographers, a star or two, and Susan Cooke Pena, renowned 'artists to the stars' has designed some custom artwork just for the event, and will be there in person to sell her 'Lana designs' and more."

Hotel deals can be found all around the Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead, according to Alex.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through etix at https://www.etix.com/ticket/servlet/onlineSale?action=selectPerformance&performance_id=1182804&cobrand=etixOnline&language=en&country=US.

In unrelated cancer news, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is urging all citizens to email Congress to ask for increased funding for cancer research.

"I'm one of the fortunate," said Ralph Cheney, advocate, volunteer, and five-year pancreatic cancer survivor in a press release. "We can tell our representatives that we do not know enough about pancreatic cancer, how to prevent it, or how to diagnose it early enough to give people a better chance of survival."
