A Night Out with Pantene Color Hair Solutions

I have a newborn and two toddlers at home, so simplicity is the backbone of my life. I don't style my hair every day. Most days, I just brush it and go, but after I tried the Pantene Color Hair Solutions products for the second time, I decided that I should style my hair one night before my husband took me out to dinner. It just so happened that this night was the night that I had used the weekly Color Nourishing Treatment.

Texture

After shampooing my hair and using the treatment, I blow dried my hair. I noticed that it wasn't as frizzy as it normally is. I also noticed that it had more of a shine, and it seemed smoother than normal. It felt sort of like silk.

I couldn't believe how wonderful my hair felt. I even asked my husband to come feel how wonderful my hair felt. People who know my husband know that he isn't a person who is vocal about "style" issues, but even he commented on how nice my hair felt.

Styling Ease

Styling my hair was the only problem I had after using the Pantene products. My hair was so soft that I had to use products to "stiffen" it up a bit before I could curl it. Now, on most days, this isn't a problem. The only reason this was a problem is that I wanted to curl my hair for my date with my husband. If I had wanted to wear my hair naturally straight, I would have been pleasantly pleased.

To stay true to my Pantene experiment, I sent my husband to the store to buy Pantene mousse, gel and hair spray. He gladly went, and as soon as he returned, I used the products to style my hair. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of styling my hair with this line. I must say, though, that I didn't use much of any of these to style my hair.

Bottom Line

Unlike when I use the generic products I usually use, my hairstyle lasted all night long - despite the humidity and wind here. My husband and I ate at a restaurant that offers outdoor seating overlooking the beach. Overall, I am very pleased with the ease of use and performance of the Pantene products I used. I consider myself a frugal person, but the Pantene products impressed me so much that I am willing to fork over the extra money to purchase these products instead of the usual cheap brands I have purchased in the past.
