A Not-So-Perfect Halloween Haiku for My Boys

Kim Keason
A Halloween night (You got that from the title, didn't you?)
Ghost and ghouls scare the town (They are really going as a headless horseman and a ninja but those have too many syllables for a haiku. And really, what kid wants to go as a ghost or a ghoul nowadays? Heck, I don't even think my kids know what a ghoul is!)
Begging for candy (So can I really call it begging when candy is expected? I guess it should be called social extortion instead.)

Happy Halloween everyone! Go and scare up some fun!

They actually had to postpone Halloween here in the Northeast - we had a freakish snowstorm that knocked out our power and services for 3+days and some folks are still w/o heat and electric. I think the kids are going door-to-door this weekend if they can clean up all of the downed power lines! cheers
