A Peanut for a Halloween Costume This Year

A peanut costume is a fun to make as it is to wear. You will enjoy the time that it will take to create this unique costume and many people will love it. For this costume you will need several different items. You will be able to find these things in your own home or at a thrift store. If you can't find them, try to borrow them from a friend or family member so that you don't have to go into a huge expense to make this project.

For a peanut costume you will need to gather these things. Find an old blanket that is tan or brown in color. You will also need a pair of black tights and black shoes. You should also make sure that you have a black cane or stick to carry with you.

The blanket will be the bulk of this costume and you will have to put leg and arm holes in it and then pull it up over your head and tie with a rope or rubber band. You will need to cut eye, nose and mouth holes in the blanket, also. Use a black magic market to make eyes and eyelashes. Make sure that the day you wear your costume that you paint your lips red so that they show through the blanket mount hole.

You will want to have a black top hat to put on top of your head when you are complete with the rest of the costume. Remember that you will need to stuff the actual costume with old newspaper or pantyhose. Tie a black belt around the waist to cinch it in. If you have time, take a brown magic marker and make markings along the blanket in small squares and it will resemble the shell of a peanut.

Putting it all together will be a fun day. Make sure that you have someone help you put it all together so that it looks great. You will be able to wear a coat when you go out in this costume, so no worries on the day of the event. When you get to where you are going to, just remove your coat and you will be all ready to have a lot of fun.
