A Pen in the Hand is Worth Business

Huge Return on Investment

Michele Starkey
Even with the onslaught of technology and the wireless world that we now live in, there is still a need for a good old pen in the hand at any given moment. There is hardly a cheaper way to promote your business, your services or yourself than through branding and distributing your pens. Everyone needs one every now and again, and when they reach for one - it should be your pen and your logo, motto or phone number.

They can be ordered by the hundreds at a very low cost and distributed or just left indiscreetly in various places. Sometimes it is worth the few extra cents to brand a pen of higher value, one that someone would actually want to take with them and carry away to another location. When your pen gets those "legs" it goes further than you could ever imagine and the wider distribution means you have received more bang for your bucks or more punch for your pennies.

The world will always require a pen in the hand of an unsuspecting person who will carry your message to the world or the marketplace at hand. It is by far the lowest cost form of advertising with the biggest return - sometimes as low as 16 cents per pen!

Working for a corporation in NYC a few years back, we had leak in the roof after a terrible rainstorm. The secretary came running into the office in a panic, stating that the supply room was being soaked. She sat down at my desk as I rambled off a few suggestions for her to try. She reached for a pen on the counter and said,
"How about these construction fellows who are branded on this pen? It says to call them "anytime" and that no job is too small."
We called them and they completed the roofing job to fix that leak the very same day. I would suffice it to say that the price of branding on that pen was a fairly good return on investment for them.

When you are in a pinch, you should always read your pens because you just never know when you will need to call for help and it helps to place yourself there, too.

Far behind. Been missing your unique sense of humor and article development style. Good to read again. Thanks, even if pens and pencils should fade for ever, Michele will still have her computer.
