Beating out the rest, Margie/Luke arrived at the airport first followed by Kisha/Jen who were in traffic. Kisha/Jen then went all Jaime on the airport people, complaining about the non-speaking workers. There was then more tensions as Margie/Luke learned they couldn't use their card at that counter, Jen and Kisha moved on and jumped into first. Margie didn't like that too much, but then Kisha/Jen had the same feeling when Tammy/Victor began asking for better seats in Chinese. They got the point though and began asking for that themselves. Maybe they do speak Chinese after all! Cara/Jaime then arrived and made everyone equal, well on the plane at least. As Kisha/Jen walked off on their own the other three teams talked in the lounge. Margie began discussing how Kisha laughed at Luke, once again making everything seem worse then it was.
After landing in Beijing Tammy/Victor were off first awhile before the rest. They were heading to the foot message.... of hell just as yet another Luke/Jen collision happened. He slammed into her, and I'm sure he thought it was hurt fault yet again. After some taxi drama the teams arrived at the foot massage place with Jaime/Cara arriving first. They were then told to pick someone for a Road Block where they would drink tea and have the most painful foot massage ever. Next up were Kisha/Jen with Kisha taking the massage. Kisha freaked out when she saw Cara began crying from the pain and then Tammy joined in on the... um fun? She was rather zen like though and kept herself calm while the rest wrinkled in pain. Last up was Luke who arrived just as Cara's massage ended.
The next clue then led the two ladies to Guan where they headed as Kisha/Jen followed close behind. Luke was then left all alone while Tammy finished up, but good thing for them since the other two teams were still looking for a taxi. Luke finished up with some tears and headed out to the rest to look for a taxi. Jaime and Tammy both went for the some one, causing some drama between the two teams but nothing to the level of Luke/Jen. Knowing they had to go to the North Door, Tammy/Victor were able to arrive first and had to either do a synchronized dive or swim a relay to beat Michael Phelps's time. Tammy, Victor, Kisha and Jen all couldn't swim so they were in for some scary moments. Tammy/Victor were up first and failed horribly at the dive. Seems jumping into the water is harder the it looks.
While those two did the diving, Cara/Jaime tried their hand at swimming. They had to fit into the wetsuits first! As Kisha and Jen went up to the diving board, something was wrong. Jen didn't feel comfortable and immediately believed she would drowned. They then switched to the swimming detour, where I'm sure Jen would have an even harder time. Luke and Margie also chose that task, leaving only Tammy/Victor doing the diving detour. All teams doing the swimming had issues on their second lap as they took a few minutes at the end to regain some energy.Tammy/Victor had some issues as well, just dealing with their timing though.
After swimming two laps each, Cara and Jaime were the first to finish and were off in first place to the Pit Stop. With Margie/Luke on their last lap; Kisha just finished her first and Jen decided to switch to the other task... again. That let Margie/Luke finish in second, sending them off to the drum tower pit stop as well. Back on the diving board Jen faced her fears yet again and jumped into the water. She struggled swimming back to the edge and didn't want to even go in again as Tammy/Victor still struggled as well. They ended up switching to the swimming task as Jen continued to freak out over jumping into the pool. As Tammy/Victor continued their laps, Jen began crying even more and wanted to quit.
Kisha continued to push Jen to keep going but it was too late. Victor finished the final lap while Jen was still crying, but Kisha wanted to actually finish the task. Back in the taxis Cara and Jaime worried about not getting first place while Margie/Luke were glad that Kisha/Jen were probably going. Jen finally got back into the water, life-vest and all and began the long swim to the finish. It was obvious they would be checking in last, but could there be another non-elimination leg? Victor bought them some time at least as his leg cramped, forcing him to walk around before getting into the taxi. He finally manned up and got in the taxi when Jen finished, placing everyone in the taxi and sending them on their way to the Pit Stop. After some traffic Cara and Jaime arrived to Phil first but he had some news for them.... the race was still on. Their leg wasn't over, giving Jen/Kisha the time they needed and making Cara and Jaime not so happy about arriving in first yet not getting a prize!
