Just a picture from the past--

A distant memory.

I wonder where you are now.

Whether near or far--I know not.

You took your love from me.

You gave it to another.

I never dreamed it would be my own brother.

Now you are gone.

Now I am torn--

Should I be lonely and blue

Or happy that I am rid of you?

You're just a picture from the past--

Only a distant memory.

One that gets weaker and dimmer each and every day.

    Thanks so much Barbara Lee for the very nice comment on A Picture From the Past. I love sad poems, but my sad ones usually aren't based on anything from my own life. I am for the most part a happy go lucky person with very few cares, and least of all having an untrue wife. I would trust her with my very life.
