Lies forgotten upon the shore
The incoming tide
Carries it further
Pushes it over rocks
Scrapes it across sand
The sharp
Rough edges
Are slowly
Worn away
Carried back into the sea
This one piece
Like many others
Battered and washed
Across time
On one day
It may return
To a beach
Near you
Left behind
By the receding tide
Spotted by an
Eagle eyed
Beachcomber like me
This once broken glass
Now resembles
A piece of
Exquisite jewellery
If I am to find it
It will join our
Colourful collection
Of pieces reclaimed
From the sea
