slipping beneath the skin and behind the eyelid
a vision of land locked lakes as life's blood
a piece of the sky fallen and held up for ransom
more than the price of rubies water and the eyes to see it with
failure falling fast
rare rich rubies
eating eerie earth
watching wriggling worms
a painted river blue lips on brown skin
a desert floor scaly as snake skin
bringing a cup of water to the desert
a thunder storm to the bottom west
